Since 1977, B.J. Couvillion, Inc. has served Southeast Louisiana from its location in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Brent J. Couvillion, founder and President, originally started as a residential, remodeling contractor. He quickly expanded into the Commercial Market, offering commercial office building construction, sitework, commercial remodeling, concrete flatwork and building repair work.
In 1984, B.J. Couvillion, Inc. began its association with Butler Manufacturing Company when it was appointed the Butler Builder Representative for the Greater Baton Rouge area. This alliance has led B.J. Couvillion, Inc. to expand into Pre-Engineered Building Systems, which is the fastest growing segment of the construction industry today.
By the early 1990’s, B.J. Couvillion, Inc. evolved into a full service Design-Build Contracting firm, coordinating all services needed to create a building project from start to finish. From site selection, to Architectural/Engineering design, to complete construction; this Turnkey Concept has allowed B.J. Couvillion, Inc. to expand its scope of projects and refine its services for it’s growing customer base.
In 1998, B.J. Couvillion, Inc. was awarded the title of “Career Builder”. This is Butler Manufacturing Company’s highest honor bestowed upon a select group of its almost 1,400 builders worldwide. By concentrating on the Design-Build approach to construction, we have experienced steady, consistent growth in all aspects of our sales, marketing, and company functions.
In the past 30 years, our company has developed into a reputable organization that offers the highest standard of quality and service. With the experience level of our Construction Management staff totaling over 150 years; and key personnel having tenure over 30+ years, B.J. Couvillion, Inc. brings experience and knowledge to each project.
As General Contractors, we have provided clients with quality Subcontractors and service in every phase of construction. These services include, but are not limited to; Architectural/Engineering, Carpentry, Electrical, Mechanical, Painting, Interior Finishing, Metal Building Erection, Dirt Work and Paving.
